Rockbridge County

Rockbridge County offers expansive farmland, scenic neighborhoods, truck stops, wineries/breweries, and many activities for the whole family. There are biking/hiking trails such as the Appalachian Trail, Otter Creek, Bluff Mountain, Boston Knob, and other trails on the Blue Ridge Parkway. If you dare, walk across the swaying bridge over the Maury River – or if you love to kayak or canoe, the Upper James River Water Trail is for you. You can also attend events at the Virginia Horse Center or check out the animals at the Virginia Safari Park. A trip to see the Natural Bridge Park is a must, along with the fine dining restaurants that you will find scattered across the county.
